Salcedo Market, Schedule and More
Salcedo Market is located at Jaime Velasquez Park, which is between Tordesillas and Leviste. The Park, which is usually empty during weekdays, are flocked with buyers and office workers to get some yummy foods or buy fruits and some seafoods for home.
Salcedo Market is open only every Saturdays, at 7am to 2pm. It’s better to go early before lunch time since there are lots of food to choose from, unlike when you go there after lunch, where mostly leftovers are what would be available.
What I like in Salcedo Market is their Cebu Lechon, which is really yummy. The price for half a kilo is P325. The last time we went there at 12 noon to buy, only bones are left.
Another thing I like at the market is the wide variety for fresh fruits. I was able to buy there pomegranates, which were my hubby’s favorite, avocado, marang, pomelo and a lot more.
For ready-to-eat foods, you can get there Italian food, Spanish food, Thai food and of course Filipino food. There are lots of choices to choose from and usually, those who are working at the offices nearby eat their lunch there.
Not only foods and fruits are available at the said place, but also some organic products, plants, flowers and more. There are lots of people there every Saturday and since it’s Christmas season, the amount of people who go there doubled.
I wish I could share some photos of the place, but I don’t bring a camera whenever I got there since I bring my daughter with me.:)
