IBF Forum
is intended to facilitate discussion of issues relating to the
infant, but exciting area of Islamic finance - arising out of a
chemistry between the rich classical framework of Islamic law and
the ever changing world of modern business and finance. Besides
highlighting and seeking solutions to the issues through moderated
discussions and deliberations, the Forum also seeks to serve as a
medium for dissemination of relevant information among the community
of students, researchers, bankers and finance professionals
interested in this discipline.
The Forum is open to Members of the IBF Net, The Islamic Banking and
Finance Network, but ideally would like to have the following
persons subscribed:
-
Students and researchers engaged in learning and research in the
field of economics, finance and business,
-
Students and researchers engaged in learning and
research in the field of Islamic business and financial law,
-
Academics interested in the field of Islamic
finance and engaged in the task of extending the frontiers of
knowledge in this infant discipline
-
Professionals in Islamic banks and financial
institutions,
-
Professionals in conventional banks that realize
the potential of Islamic banking and finance
